1. What This Policy Covers
SalesJobs. Now is a job board for people who sell for a living. This policy explains what we learn about you while you search open sales roles, keep an account, take alerts or post in the forum, what we do with it, who else handles it and what control you keep. Here "we", "us" and "our" mean O-mega Enterprise, Inc., which runs SalesJobs. Now, and "the Service" means this website, our apps and everything they connect to.
Using the Service means the practices below apply to you. If they do not suit you, please stop using it.
The year at the top of the page shows when we last revised this text.
2. The Company Responsible for Your Data
O-mega Enterprise, Inc., the operator of SalesJobs. Now, decides why and how your personal data is processed, which makes it the "controller" under data protection law. Post reaches us at 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States.
Questions about anything in this policy go to the contacts listed under How to reach us at the bottom.
3. What We Hold About You
That depends on how far you go. Browsing openings needs nothing from you; an account, an alert or a forum post means you hand us a little more. In practice we may hold:
- What you type in or upload yourself: the email address you sign up or subscribe with, your name, your LinkedIn link or CV, answers you give in forms, your forum posts, and messages to us or to the assistant in your account.
- What you choose in the product: the openings you save or check, the kinds of sales work and the companies you pick for alerts, and the employers you tell us you already work for.
- What your visit reveals: pages viewed, buttons pressed (an Apply click, for example), the browser and device you use, and a rough location worked out from your connection.
- What cookies and browser storage carry, covered in its own section below.
From these we may also form a view, such as which sales segments and job titles suit you. Giving us anything is optional, though a feature that depends on a piece of information cannot work without it.
4. What We Use It For
We put personal data to work for these reasons:
- To run the board: show open sales roles, keep your account, send the alerts and emails you asked for, and pass you to an employer's own application page when you press Apply.
- To match you: rank openings against your profile and say how well a given role fits.
- To answer you when you write to us, and to support your account.
- To learn which pages and features help people land sales jobs, so we can improve them.
- To send notices about the Service and, where the law allows and you have not said no, news about it. Every such email carries a way out.
- To keep the Service safe: stopping spam, fake sign-ups, scraping and fraud, and fixing faults.
- To meet our legal duties and enforce our terms.
Parts of the Service run on automated systems, AI models among them. We do not turn data to a purpose unrelated to the one it was collected for, unless you agree or the law permits it.
Software alone takes no decision about you with legal or similarly significant effect. A fit verdict on a role is guidance for you; the employer, not us, decides whom it hires. Should the law require safeguards for any automated processing we carry out, we will provide them.
5. Lawful Grounds if You Are in the EEA or the UK
Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR covers you, each use of your data rests on one of these grounds:
- Your consent, for example when you join the candidate pool. You can take it back whenever you like.
- Our contract with you, for what you signed up for: your account, your alerts, your matches.
- A legal obligation that requires us to keep or disclose something.
- Legitimate interests, ours or a third party's, such as running, measuring and protecting the board, as long as your rights do not outweigh them.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests (see Your rights over your data). Withdrawing consent stops processing from then on; what was lawfully done before stands.
6. Cookies and Browser Storage
We keep cookies to a short list, and our own visit counting needs none: it works without any cookie or stored device identifier. What we do set:
- A sign-in cookie, so you stay logged in to your account.
- A source cookie, when you arrive through a link in one of our emails, so we can tell which emails bring people back.
- A share-link cookie, holding the code of the member whose link you opened (see Share links).
- Browser storage, for things such as an interview practice round in progress or your display preferences.
If we switch on Google Analytics, it sets cookies of its own to measure visits, under Google's privacy policy. Your browser settings let you block or clear any of these; signing in stops working without the first. An employer's page you open from here sets its own cookies under its own policy.
7. Who Else Sees Your Data
Your data reaches others only in these cases:
- Companies that run parts of the Service for us: hosting and database, email delivery, the AI models that read profiles and searches, our profile data provider and our voice provider. Each may use it only to do that job for us.
- An employer you agree to be introduced to through the candidate pool, and only after you say yes to its specific opening.
- Advisers such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure protects our rights, our users or the public.
- A buyer or successor, if our business or part of it is merged, financed, restructured or sold.
- Anyone else you point us to, or with your agreement.
We never sell your data. Figures we publish, such as counts of openings or median base and OTE, are aggregated and identify nobody.
Some US state laws count certain cookie, analytics or advertising uses as a "sale" or "sharing" even when no money changes hands. To whatever extent any of our measurement falls under those words, the choices under Extra rights for California residents apply.
8. Your Profile, Fit Checks and Matched-Role Emails
A free profile lets us rank openings for you. You give us one of three things, plus your first and last name (which become your account name): your LinkedIn link, your CV, or a few lines in your own words about the selling you have done. An AI model condenses that into a short reading: the kinds of sales work you fit, a handful of job titles, the segment you have sold into where it shows, and the country you live in. We store the reading with your account and use it to order openings on the site and in your emails.
- LinkedIn. Our profile data provider, Icypeas, fetches the public profile behind your link, and we store what it returns (headline, roles and tenure, education, skills, languages). The model works from your career facts only and is never given your name or contact details. An account without a name takes the one on that profile, and you can edit it in your settings.
- CV. Upload a PDF or Word file, or paste the text. The AI model, run for us by our technology provider, pulls out your work history with its dates, education, certifications, languages and skills, and that extract is what we store, along with the file name, size and page count. The file itself is discarded, and so are any phone numbers, email addresses and street address in it. An account without a name takes the one on the CV, which you can change.
- Employers you already work for. If you mark companies in our list as ones you already work for, we keep that list and use it when ordering your matches. Edit or clear it whenever you like.
- Fit checks. Ask whether you fit a role and the AI model sets your reading against that posting. The verdict (strong, possible or unlikely) and its reasons stay on your account so you can come back to them.
- The assistant. Conversations with the assistant in your account are stored with the account, so it can pick up where you left off.
- The spoken assessment. If you choose this optional five-minute voice interview, the conversation runs through our voice provider, ElevenLabs. We keep its transcript, the result, and what it adds to your profile.
- Alerts and match emails. An account receives a weekly email of openings that fit your profile. A new-role alert stores your email address, the country read from your connection, and any kinds of sales work or companies you choose; if you allow notifications on a device, we keep the delivery address your browser hands us for them. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and opening an account never reverses an earlier unsubscribe.
- Your controls. Your account shows everything held with your profile and lets you edit or delete it. Deleting it erases the reading, the stored LinkedIn data, the CV extract and your saved fit checks.
9. Two Free Tools: Posting Checks and Sales Interview Drills
Neither tool asks you to sign in, and neither keeps your words unless you ask it to.
- Sales job scam checker. Paste a message or posting and our code tests it, then the AI model reads it once to judge whether the offer looks real. The text, its links and any addresses in it are not stored. All we count is how many checks end in each verdict, with nothing tied to you or to the message.
- Sales interview practice. Your background, every answer you type and the feedback travel to the AI model one turn at a time to produce the next question and the critique, and none of it is stored on our servers. The round lives in your own browser's storage so you can resume it later; "Start a new round" or clearing your browser data removes it. Our records hold a tally of practice turns with the company and kind of sales role you picked, never your answers.
10. How Often You Hear From Us
Every message we start toward you, on any channel, is logged (its kind, the date and the company it concerned, never the wording), and it must clear one check against that log before it goes out.
- Room between messages. A message we decide to send on our own waits until 24 hours have passed since our last one, counting email and every other channel together. Your weekly matches email keeps its own schedule, and a confirmation you requested never counts.
- A follow-up after Apply. Pressing Apply on an employer's page can lead to one short note a few minutes later with the next step, held back if another reminder from us went out in the previous 24 hours.
- Once per subject. The same reminder is never sent to you twice.
- Unsubscribing ends it. The link at the foot of any email stops that kind of email, and your account lets you turn emails off.
11. Salespeople We Write to About an Opening
If you sell in the United States and an open role on the board suits your background, we may write to you about that single opening, with at most one follow-up. Our business-contact data provider, Icypeas, supplies your name, title, employer, city and work email address, and for some openings your public professional profile (headline, roles, education, listed skills). We rely on our legitimate interest in telling working salespeople about openings in their own line of work. Before anything is sent, an AI model weighs those facts against the posting (the kind of sales work, the segment, the seniority and anything the posting requires). Your name plays no part in that, and we write only when the fit holds up.
- What we record. Those facts, the opening, the fit assessment and its reasons, the email itself (drafted with an AI model's help from those facts alone), whether it was delivered, answered or opted out of, and what any reply asked. The link in the email carries a code, so we also see whether you opened that opening and pressed Apply. None of this goes to the employer or to anyone else.
- Stopping it. One click on the unsubscribe link, or a word from you, and we never write again. Reply or email us to have the record erased.
13. The Candidate Pool and Introductions to Employers
Joining the candidate pool from your account lets us put you forward for openings. For that we keep your name, country, the languages you speak and how well, your current role and line of work, your education, whether you hold a professional licence, your years of experience, the hours you are available, the kinds of sales work you do, and a profile link if you add one. We use them to find openings that suit you and to ask you about those openings by email and in your account. This rests on your consent, which you withdraw by leaving the pool.
- Prefilled, not fetched again. The form starts from what your account already holds (your stored LinkedIn data and the sales work your profile matches); we do not call LinkedIn again for it. You can see and change every field before joining.
- Nothing leaves us when you join. An employer hears about you only after you accept its specific opening in your account.
- What the employer then gets: the pool details above, a summary of your stored LinkedIn data (headline, location, recent roles, education, skills) and your email address, so it can contact you about that opening. From there, its own privacy policy governs what it does.
- What we log: the date you joined, each opening we asked you about, your answers and the date of any introduction, so you can see your history and we can keep our word.
- Leaving. Edit your details, pause requests, decline any opening or leave the pool whenever you like. Leaving erases your pool details and your request history.
14. Verified Sellers
Verified Sellers is the members-only room of our forum. Before letting you in we check, at your request, that you are who you say you are. The check uses what you put in the application (your name, your line of work, the US state you work in, and any work email address, licence or registration number, or public page you add) together with the profile your account already holds.
- Public sources. Where you give a number that a public register lists, such as a state licence register, we look it up there. For a public page or your profile, the check may search the open web for a record of your role.
- Work email. We send a code to the address, and typing it back confirms it. An employer's address you confirmed when you signed up counts too.
- The decision. An AI model weighs the evidence and either admits you or names the single item that would settle it. The answer reaches you by email.
- Kept with the application: what you sent, what the searches found (each match with its public link), the decision and its reason.
- Leaving. Leave the room any time from your account, and write to us to have the application and everything with it deleted.
15. Data That Crosses Borders
Our providers may handle your data outside the country you live in, the United States included, where the rules can differ from those at home.
When a transfer needs extra protection under the law that applies to you, we rely on a recognised mechanism, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, an adequacy decision, or another route the law provides.
16. How Long We Keep It
Data stays only as long as the purpose it was collected for, plus any longer period the law sets or allows, for instance for tax and accounting records, to settle a dispute, or to bring or defend a legal claim.
How long that comes to depends on what the data is, how sensitive it is, why we hold it and what the law requires. Once it has served its purpose we delete it, or strip out anything that could identify you.
To close your account and see exactly what goes with it, read the account deletion steps.
17. Keeping It Safe
We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures sized to the risk: encrypted connections, access limited to those who need it, and controls weighed against current practice and the kind of data involved.
Nothing sent over the internet or stored on a server is beyond all risk, so we cannot promise perfect security. You help by keeping your password to yourself and telling us if you suspect misuse.
18. Employer Pages and Other Sites
When you press Apply you leave us for the employer's own careers page or applicant tracking system. Whatever you submit there (your CV, a cover letter, references, answers to screening questions) goes to that employer and its hiring software under their privacy policies, not this one.
The same holds for any other outside site we link to or work with. Read their policies before you share anything with them.
19. Assistants, Bots and the Installable App
SalesJobs. Now can be reached in more places than this website. Here is what each one passes to us.
- AI assistants (our MCP server, which Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants can connect to). The assistant sends only the search filters it picked for your question, such as keywords, kind of sales work, country and pay. Your conversation, name and account stay with the assistant's provider, whose privacy policy covers them.
- Messaging bots, where we run one (on Telegram, for example). Starting the bot gives us your chat ID, plus the username and app language the messaging app shares with every bot, the link that brought you and the alert settings you choose, so we can send those alerts. Stop alerts with /stop, or block the bot to end all messages; ask us if you want the record erased.
- The installable app (added through "Install app" in your browser or from an app store). It loads this website, so this policy covers it just as it covers the site.
Links from these into the website carry a short tag naming the source (for example "telegram-bot"), so we can count visits per app. The tag names the app, never the person.
20. What You Can Ask Us to Do With Your Data
Where you live decides which of these apply, but you may be entitled to:
- See whether we process your data, and get a copy of it.
- Fix data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erase it, in the cases the law allows.
- Restrict how we use it, in certain cases.
- Take it with you as a structured, machine-readable file, or have it sent straight to another provider where that is technically possible.
- Object to processing, including any based on legitimate interests and any for direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent you gave, with effect from that moment.
Write to us (see How to reach us) to use any of them. We may confirm your identity first, and we reply within the time the law sets. It costs nothing in most cases, and using a right never counts against you on the board.
In the EEA or the UK you may also complain to your data protection authority. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
21. Extra Rights for California Residents
California's privacy law (the CCPA as amended by the CPRA) gives residents these rights, with some exceptions:
- To know the categories of personal data we collect, why, where it comes from and who receives it.
- To access the specific data we hold about you.
- To delete data we collected from you.
- To correct data that is inaccurate.
- To opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal data, as California law defines those words.
- To limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal data, where that applies.
- Not to be treated worse for using any of these rights.
The categories we collect are set out in What we hold about you, the recipients in Who else sees your data, and how long each is kept in How long we keep it.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. SalesJobs. Now does not sell personal data for money. Because California's definitions reach further than that, you can stop any activity of ours that falls under them by writing to us, or through any opt-out control we offer on the site.
Send a request through the details under How to reach us, yourself or through an authorised agent whose authority we can verify. We handle it as the law requires.
22. Under-Age Users
The Service is built for working adults looking for sales jobs, not for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below the age at which their country's law requires a parent's consent.
If you think a child has given us data, tell us and we will delete it as the law requires.
23. When This Policy Changes
As the board, our practices or the law move on, this policy will follow. The year at the top changes with each revision, and where the law requires it or a change is material, we will also tell you another way.
The version published on the Service on a given date is the one that applies on that date.
24. How to Reach Us
