Mock discovery call
The buyer · video · 20 to 30 minutes
- A hiring manager or a peer plays a prospect, often from a one-page brief on the buyer's company sent to you a day or two ahead.
- The questions you ask carry the score: the problem, what it costs, who else is involved, the timeline and how they buy.
- Talking more than the buyer is the usual way to lose it. Play back what you heard before you suggest anything.
- Close on a next step with a date and the right people in it, not a promise to send some information.
