The posting

First Circle is looking for a driven, technically-minded Business Development Executive to help accelerate the Philippines’ transition to clean energy.

In this role, you’ll help small and medium-sized businesses unlock the benefits of solar through our solar-as-a-service offering - delivering best-in-market solar PV systems with no upfront costs and immediate savings on power bills. Your work will directly support the adoption of clean technology, lower energy expenses for businesses, and contribute to a more sustainable future.

You’ll be responsible for managing the entire customer lifecycle - guiding businesses as they explore and understand the benefits of solar, helping them choose the best payment plan for their needs, coordinating with our installer partner for feasibility assessment and installation, and supporting activation through their first billing period.

This is a new product with a new sales process, so you won't inherit a defined process, you'll help build one. Expect days that look very different: cold calling one day, walking a customer through their savings the next, meeting installers or working an event after that.

Key responsibilities

  • Customer lifecycle management : Educate business owners about the impact solar can have on their energy future, including cost savings, protection against energy cost inflation, and enhanced energy security
  • Lead generation : Originate and manage leads for solar financing through outreach, partnerships, referrals, and inbound channels
  • Installer partnerships: Our installer partners send us leads too, so you'll grow the network, keep those relationships strong, support their sales process, and onboard the customers they bring us on First Circle's behalf
  • Project co-ordination : Assess the suitability of prospects for solar and financing, based on site, financial, and technical parameters. Work closely with installer partners to coordinate deals and ensure prompt & smooth project execution
  • Marketing materials : Develop clear, persuasive materials for our website, online channels, and sales proposals
  • Sales performance : Meet and exceed sales targets, with a proven ability to close deals

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or related fields
  • Passionate and technically versed in the Philippines' clean energy sector
  • Self-starter with strong ownership and initiative, who also works well with internal teams and external partners
  • Clear, engaging communicator who builds trust and explains complex ideas with ease
  • Highly organized, adept at managing personal workflow, email, and CRM systems. Solar deals run over months with several decision makers, so you need the discipline to keep a slow deal warm and follow up when a customer goes quiet

Benefits

  • Highly competitive perks & benefits, including HMO coverage from week one, life and accidental insurance, free catered lunches, MacBook Air provided, monthly fitness allowance, transportation & accommodation allowance, and more.
  • Hybrid work set-up: 2 days per week in BGC office.
  • Join a team with a deeply collaborative culture - expect support, feedback and friendship!

Job details

  • Our philosophy on pay is simple: top performers earn much more at First Circle than they would earn elsewhere.
  • Our Business Development roles typically have this pay structure:
  • Uncapped monthly commissions + Php 33,000 basic + highly competitive perks & benefits. The top 30% of our team earn well over PHP100k per month, and top performers regularly earn over PHP200k
