The Commercial Insurance Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, marketing, renewal, and servicing of a complex book of business focused on apartment communities, multifamily housing, and other habitational risks. • Provide timely service for endorsements, certificates, evidence of property insurance, audits, billing questions, cancellations, reinstatements, claims-related requests, and general coverage inquiries.
  • Review policies, endorsements, binders, schedules, and proposals for accuracy and consistency with quoted and bound terms; coordinate corrections promptly.

  • Document account activity and maintain complete, accurate records in the agency management system in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience managing renewals, marketing submissions, policy servicing, coverage review, and client communication for complex commercial accounts.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, analytical, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

  • Four to five years of commercial insurance agency experience, including at least two years supporting apartment communities, multifamily housing, real estate, or other habitational risks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and an insurance agency management system; Applied Epic experience is strongly preferred.
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Experience with large property schedules, layered or shared property programs, umbrella/excess towers, catastrophe-exposed risks, and wholesale placements.
  • Professional insurance designation such as CIC, CRM, CPCU, ARM, or CRIS.
  • Experience preparing client-facing renewal proposals, coverage comparisons, and stewardship materials.
