Company Description

Founded in 2008 by Serge Trigano and his sons Jérémie and Benjamin (co-founders of Club Med), Mama Shelter is a creator of living spaces and a daily director!

These are atypical places, where everyone feels at home, places born of a blend of influences, freedoms, sensations and emotions. Each Mama tells the story of the city in which it is located, and all influences blend together. We offer our guests a joyful atmosphere and exceptional service at an affordable price.

More than just rooms and restaurants, Mama Shelter is a dynamic, a vibe: they are true urban refuges, not only aesthetically pleasing and modern but also popular, welcoming and sexy.

Whatever your role, we're all here to make the customer experience as unforgettable as possible.

Our mission: to bring little moments of happiness to people.

Our growth has enabled us to offer our teams great career paths through internal development and international mobility, and it's not a question of diplomas or years of experience.

Mama Shelter is part of Ennismore, a creative hotel group rooted in cultures and destinations, with a global portfolio of brands. Ennismore is a joint venture with Accor, founded in 2021.

And now, Mama Shelter is making its big debut in Mexico bringing its rebel spirit and unapologetic fun to La Roma. Mexico City is about to get the Mama treatment, sociable, inclusive, and never too serious. When life gets boring, run to Mama.

Job Overview

As a Sales Manager at Mama Shelter, you aren’t just selling rooms or event spaces - you are selling a lifestyle, a vibe, and a whole experience. You are the energetic commercial engine of the hotel. Your mission is to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, nurturing key accounts, and positioning Mama as the coolest, most sought-after neighborhood hub in Mexico City for both leisure and corporate travelers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Development: Proactively prospect, pitch, and secure new corporate accounts, group bookings, and local partnerships that align with Mama’s fun and vibrant brand positioning.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and local businesses.
  • Revenue & Target Achievement: Drive room nights, F&B buyouts, and event sales to consistently meet or exceed property revenue and occupancy targets.
  • Networking & Local Buzz: Be the face of Mama in the local market - attend industry events, host prospective clients for lunch or drinks at the restaurant, and stay ahead of Mexico City hospitality trends.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Selling: Work closely with the Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to create attractive packages, corporate rates, and maximize profitability.
  • Reporting & Market Analysis: Track sales performance, monitor local competitor activity, and prepare accurate forecasting and pipeline reports for management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager within the lifestyle, boutique, or design-led hotel industry (experience in Mexico City's market is a major plus).
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish; written and spoken fluently).
  • A natural networker with high emotional intelligence, charisma, and a persuasive, results-driven mindset.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in hotel sales systems and CRM tools.
