About Expeditors

Expeditors sells freight forwarding branch by branch: each district office runs district sales executives who hunt a defined territory for companies shipping internationally, map out air, ocean, customs, trucking and warehousing solutions with routing diagrams and cost-benefit numbers, then hand each won account to operations and to local account managers who keep and grow it. Selling is a team process steered by the district sales manager (joint calls, local trade groups), and some postings put numbers on the activity, such as 50 sales calls a month in Beijing or, in Buenos Aires, a pipeline of roughly 25 to 30 qualified prospects, 40 prospects and 20 targets closed at two in five or better. Of the 114 sales openings, 64 are district sales executive seats at junior, regular or senior grade and about 23 are account manager roles; the rest are six global sales executives (Germany, France, the UK, Japan), district sales managers and their assistants, sales operations coordinators, a Salt Lake City sales trainee who spends 6 to 12 months in operations before prospecting, a part-time Scottsdale sales intern, and business developers who court Japanese firms in Vietnam, Chinese firms in Mexico and Thailand, and airlines and aerospace suppliers in Hong Kong. A third of the openings (38) are in the US, spread over 28 locations; Germany has 8, India 7, China 5, and Belgium, Australia, Canada, Malaysia and Japan 4 each, with the remaining 36 across 24 other countries and territories.

Job seekers never pay to use this board. An Apply button opens the employer's own application page, or the page of the recruiting firm filling the seat; only where a company or its recruiting firm pays us for a hire who came from here does that link carry our referral code, and the fee comes from them, never out of the base or OTE the role offers you.
