Funding Societies

About Funding Societies

Funding Societies (Modalku in Indonesia) lends to small and mid-sized businesses in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, and its sellers work both sides of the book: relationship managers who win borrowers, and an investor desk that raises the money they lend. The borrower side splits by product: SME hunters and business acquisition managers in Singapore selling unsecured term and micro loans, secured lending officers in Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali looking for owners with property or other collateral to pledge, a key account manager in Kuala Lumpur who reaches commercial-mortgage clients through agents, brokers, developers and lawyers, and a hire purchase squad there that signs used and new car dealers. Commercial and enterprise relationship managers in Jakarta and Surabaya farm larger accounts on quarterly targets, writing the loan proposal and taking it to credit committee themselves, while the Singapore payments team hires a sales executive and a sales manager to run SME deals for its payment and collection tools from cold call to activation. In Kuala Lumpur an investor sales executive sells conventional and Islamic investment products to affluent and high-net-worth individuals, and a head of funding and investor relations courts banks, fund managers and development finance institutions. Of the 24 sales openings, 8 are in Indonesia, 7 in Kuala Lumpur, 5 in Singapore and 4 in Bangkok (an SME and a property-loan relationship manager, a sales team lead and a Thai-speaking telesales seat); four are internships, and none is in the US.

Job seekers never pay to use this board. An Apply button opens the employer's own application page, or the page of the recruiting firm filling the seat; only where a company or its recruiting firm pays us for a hire who came from here does that link carry our referral code, and the fee comes from them, never out of the base or OTE the role offers you.

The only figure in its postings belongs to the internships: the three Kuala Lumpur interns (account relationship, sales and sales support) are paid a monthly allowance of RM1,200. The Singapore SME hunter posting promises a commission-based earning structure with upside for top performers but gives no base, and the Indonesian, Thai, payments and investor postings name no salary, commission or bonus figure.
