Every sale on CarOnSale needs a dealer with cars to sell and a dealer ready to buy, and its sales force is split along that line: a German field team (the Field Sales department) signs dealerships to put their stock up for auction, while a Berlin phone desk (Demand) goes after dealer groups and their purchasing managers until they buy on the platform as a habit. The field side fills most of the board: 49 of the 73 sales listings are one Sales Manager job per territory, nine territories from Osnabrück and Bielefeld down to Heilbronn and Dresden, each posted in every city it covers, with four days a week on the road against a target list and one day at home for planning.
