At eMAG the person across the table is a merchant, not a shopper: marketplace account managers sign outside sellers onto the platform, and a separate ads team sells those sellers eMAG ADS campaigns measured on ROAS, CTR and CPC. The hunters prospect by phone, email and LinkedIn against monthly targets (the Polish-speaking seat keeps 40 to 60 sellers in its pipeline and counts the first sale, not the signature, toward its KPI), while each ads manager carries a book of about 200 sellers a quarter and a quarterly spend target. Above that sit a Commercial Lead who negotiates annual business plans with Electro-IT retailers and manufacturers, and a B2B director at Flip, the group's refurbished electronics shop in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Greece, who must build a reseller channel from zero: small shops and GSM stores at volume, telecom operators and large retailers as strategic accounts.
