Total Roofing & Construction (TRC) is a family-owned exterior contractor that started in Dolton, Illinois in 1985 as a commercial flat-roof installer and now sells residential and commercial roofs, siding, windows, gutters, rooftop solar and insurance-paid storm restoration across southern Cook County, Will County and Lake County, Indiana. Four of its seven sales openings carry a project manager title but are selling jobs (the commercial posting calls the seat a roofing sales executive): the rep creates interest, negotiates and closes the job, then does the quantity take-offs, pricing, purchase orders and submittals and stays in touch with production while the roof goes on, with two seats on commercial work and two on residential. Two outside sales representatives run preset lead appointments and knock doors in assigned territories, inspect homes for storm damage, walk owners through their insurance claims and collect payment against a monthly quota, with in-house sales and admin staff doing the paperwork behind them. The seventh opening is a sales manager in Schererville who coaches, hires and disciplines the sales staff, opens and closes the showroom and sets up sales events, with weekend work expected. Each office has one commercial project manager, one residential project manager and one outside representative seat, so the split is four openings in Schererville and three in Dolton.
