Employers buy Unum's disability, life, accident, critical illness, dental and vision cover and its leave management, but its sales consultants work the broker channel: they teach insurance brokers, agents and benefits consultants the product, price cases with Quote Unum and underwriting, and negotiate the plan the broker then takes to its employer client. All six seller openings are sales consultant associate seats for the small case market, in Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix, Addison (Dallas), Columbia, Maryland and Portland, Maine: a development track with a mentor, a cohort class and product training that starts on base pay and moves to commission on new business.
