Mars hires sellers for two very different trades, and the pet side is the more field-heavy: Royal Canin's veterinary channel employs district and regional sales managers, territory reps and scientific services veterinarians who visit clinics to win diet recommendations, while its PRO channel works breeders, shelters and rescues, for example a sales account specialist covering Washington, Oregon and Idaho who is on the road four days a week. Champion Petfoods sells ORIJEN and ACANA to pet retailers and distributors through territory reps, and the Mars Petcare office in Franklin, Tennessee hires sales planners and analysts for accounts such as Family Dollar, Petsmart, Petco and Tractor Supply. Outside the US, field sales heads, area sales executives and key account managers run distributor routes and retail chains in Egypt (chocolate, gum, salty snacks and cereal), India, China, Mexico, Ukraine, Thailand and Kazakhstan. In Chicago the snacking business, which now takes in the Kellanova brands Mars has bought, hires go-to-market, planning, sales operations and sales technology staff for its Accelerator division (KIND, Pop-Tarts, RXBAR), alongside a sales operations team for Mars Foodservice. Field and account roles make up roughly six in ten of the 104 sales titles; most of the rest are planning, analytics, training and sales systems jobs, plus nine internships, graduate places and a UK sales apprenticeship, and five Hotel Chocolat store associate and supervisor jobs. About 30 openings are in the US, then China (9), Canada (7), Egypt, India and the Netherlands (5 each) and some 20 other countries.
