What does a CPG sales job involve?
Selling a brand into retail. A key or national account manager negotiates shelf space, promotions and price with one retailer's buyers; a category manager builds the case from sales data for where the brand belongs on the shelf; field reps visit stores to check placement and displays and to sell in new items. The scorecard is distribution, sell-through and trade spend, not new logos.
