Job seekers never pay to use this board. An Apply button opens the employer's own application page, or the page of the recruiting firm filling the seat; only where a company or its recruiting firm pays us for a hire who came from here does that link carry our referral code, and the fee comes from them, never out of the base or OTE the role offers you.

Ask before you sign
Ask whether quota counts annual or total contract value, whether multi-year deals pay more, how long a customer must keep paying before your commission is safe from clawback, and how many AEs share the SDRs who book your meetings.
Posted pay for each kind of seat
Each row's band comes from that kind's own open postings in this market, by the method behind every band on the board (from the 25th percentile of the midpoints of posted ranges (each counted as yearly pay, a rate per hour at 2,080 hours) to the 90th percentile of their top ends); a row needs three distinct posted ranges before it gets one. Every figure is yearly pay in US dollars; where a posting quotes a rate per hour, week or month, it is multiplied by 2,080, 52 or 12 to make a full-time year (40 hours over 52 weeks).
Requirements named in the postings
Tallied from the requirement lines of 220 out of 4,912 open SaaS sales roles, the lines a role's pop-up quotes from the posting itself. A seat is counted once, under the lowest degree it accepts.

Postings that put a number on experience want 5 years at the median.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a SaaS sales seat pay?
The open SaaS sales roles carry 1,656 separate posted pay ranges. The middle of that market is $120k–$315k/yr and its median $165k/yr, each figure the range a posting states, base or OTE as it labels it. The richest posting tops out at $615k/yr, at Adobe. 452 of the 2,305 leave pay out, which usually means the number comes up at the recruiter screen.
Is SaaS sales a good first sales job?
It is the most common first seat on this board: many SaaS SDR teams hire graduates and career changers, train them for months and promote those who meet their number within a year or two. AE seats usually ask for a closing record, often earned in an SDR seat at another software company. Counting the requirement lines of 220 open SaaS sales roles, 32 a bachelor's or some degree and 188 mention no degree at all.
What does a SaaS sales career look like?
The best-mapped ladder in sales: an SDR books meetings, an account executive runs the cycle from discovery to signature on an annual subscription, and an account manager or customer success manager renews and expands it. The titles, quotas and metrics (pipeline, win rate, ARR, net retention) mean much the same from one company to the next, so a record carries over when you move.
Are these openings real?
Each one is read from the employer's own careers system (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and the like), and Apply takes you to that company's application. Pave, Orb, Stuut and Mutiny are among the employers on this page. A real employer never charges you for training, a starter kit or a background check; the scam checker lists the other warning signs of a fake offer.
